I love the ideas that crafty mama Cayleigh came up with for her daughter's sweet…
Sweet Shoppe party: Chloe and Sophie are 1!

I was lucky enough to get to work with the one and only Shelley of HowDoesShe.com to create a Sweet Shoppe party for her twin daughters, Chloe and Sophie. It was so much fun to work with Shelley, as always, as she had so many great ideas!
Shelley had been inspired by the gorgeous Ice Cream Parlour set at Eat Drink Chic and had a clear vision of what she wanted the party and the candy buffet to be – so I designed a matching set of invitations, party favors and buffet labels. The result? A little bit of a sweet shop and a little bit of an ice cream shop all rolled up into one glorious, frilly, vintage-inspired, perfectly sweet party. Enjoy!

The beautiful birthday girls – check out their lacy leggings!

The amazing dessert buffet!

The twins’ birthday banner from AtoZebra Celebrations and Shelley’s handmade ruffled party streamers create a perfect backdrop for the Sweet Shoppe. To find out how to make the ruffled streamers, check out the tutorial on HowDoesShe.

Chloe and Sophie each had their own smash cake and frilly pink party hat to wear. The high chairs were a Craigslist find – Shelley got them for a steal, then painted them white and distressed them for a vintage look. (Such a great idea!)

Gorgeous flower cupcake centerpieces helped carry the theme, and the vintage lace on the handmade party hats matched the twins’ birthday outfits!

For the large candy jars, my DIY printable buffet cards were cut in half to use as flat cards, then glued to gorgeous ribbons. Every last detail is perfect – and pink!

How’s this for a great idea: Shelley used the printable files of her invitation and party favor tags to have custom sugar cookies made by Sweetopia!

Printable favor tags labeled the takeaway bags on the candy buffet.

Chloe and Sophie made short work of their smash cakes – such happy birthday girls!
