Here’s a new twist on a familiar theme – it’s a yellow and pink Sweet Shoppe party! Crafty mama Megan put her own spin on the usually all-pink theme to create a unique party for her daughter Ava’s first birthday.

The sweets table features cupcakes, cake pops, and a variety of other candies and treats for guests to enjoy. Megan made the ruffled streamers and Sweet Shoppe banner herself. For the banner, Megan says she “took inspiration from A to Zebra Celebrations, and it was really easy to make!”

Megan got the cake, cupcakes and cookies from her local grocery store (“so cheap!!”).

Striped favor bags are set out on the sweets table so that guests can take some candy to go.

More ruffled streamers, another birthday banner, and party poms – all homemade!

Pink and yellow frosted cupcakes were served in polka-dotted cupcake liners.

The adorable cake pops were displayed in a large dish of jelly beans.

It was a beautiful day for a party, so Ava and her guests got to play outside and go swimming.

Smash cake time! Ava’s birthday tutu, onesie, and matching headband came from Etsy.

Seriously, could Ava be any cuter?!

At the end of the party, each guest took home decorated cookies (another who-would’ve-guessed-it bargain find from the grocery store). The cookies were packaged with favor tags tied with pink satin ribbon.

Thank you so much for sharing, Megan! Happy birthday to sweet Ava!
