Mom Melanie sent me some lovely photos from her daughter Kamila's cherry theme first birthday…
Stuffed animal party: Mia is 2!
Posted under Birthday Parties, parties for girls
Today I’m happy to feature a party by Mindy of a {day} with lil mama stuart! Mindy is a thrifty DIY queen, and thanks to her clever ideas she decorated this beautiful party for her 2-year-old daughter Mia for a mere $60. (Seriously!)

Mia’s stuffed animals were the inspiration for the party, and they had a special place on the custom-made cake by Sweet Kat’s Creations.

Cutest fondant animals ever!

Mindy made these cute centerpieces by punching photos out with a medium punch, then adding backgrounds using striped paper (downloaded for free from Sprik Space) and a large scallop punch. She mounted the paper on skewers, then propped them up in tin cans filled with newspaper (on the inside) and paper shreds (on top). To dress up the can, she used baker’s twine purchased on special from Pick Your Plum.

The same striped paper was used to create drink wraps, and also popcorn cones (tutorial here).

Twine and washi tape from Shop Sweet Lulu were used to make the tiny, sweet banner hung across the water bottle bucket. Mindy designed and printed the favor tags.

A beautiful personalized print from Etsy was on display at the party (and there’s an adorable washi tape garland again – LOVE that!).

Thanks so much for sharing, Mindy! Happy birthday to Mia! : )
