Mom Melanie sent me some lovely photos from her daughter Kamila's cherry theme first birthday…
Spa party: Jadelyn is 10!
Posted under Birthday Parties, parties for girls
This spa theme party looks like so much fun, I wish I could have a party just like it on my birthday! It was submitted by crafty mama Christa Nok Ngo, who went all-out for her daughter Jadelyn’s 10th birthday. Watch for all the little ways that Jadelyn got special treatment during the party – the details are really sweet. Other highlights: the beautiful birthday cake by Tickled Pink Cakes Chicago and the “spa-licious” guacamole (which you just have to see)!

Jadelyn’s face mask shaped invitations were homemade.

The dining room was set up formally with a white tablecloth and black table runner. A netting tent was hung at the end of the table to highlight Jadelyn’s seat as the guest of honor.

Each of the girls got a white robe to wear. As the birthday girl, Jadelyn’s robe was specially embellished with rosette pins.

The flip flops were cheapies from Michael’s that Christa decorated with white terry cloth bows (plus pink jewels on Jadelyn’s pair).

The “happy birthday” banner was homemade using card stock and doilies.

The magnificent two-tier ombre ruffle cake was made by Tickled Pink Cakes Chicago. There are so many details, from the spa girls to the bath bubbles to the bottles of nail polish! In fact, each of the girls on the cake is modeled after a party guest.

The adorable cake pops were made by Just A Bite By Maureen. There were spa ladies, O.P.I. nail polish bottles, and a special birthday cake cake pop for Jadelyn.

The precious little flip flop sandwiches were made using a bean shaped cookie cutter to cut out the sandwiches, then reshaping the cut-outs a little to make them look more like flip flops. They’re decorated with cucumber peel straps and pea size tomato embellishments. A toothpick in the tomato holds everything together.

The drinking glasses were made from Starbucks Frappucchino bottles embellished with twine and tissue paper rosettes.

The “spa-licious” guacamole is too stinkin’ cute, with red pepper lips, a lettuce spa cap and cucumbers on the eyes. There’s even a blueberry “beauty mark”!

The girls wrapped their hair in towels and applied chocolate or avocado face masks.

Personalized plastic tubs were used for pedicures and then sent home as party favors.

Pretty white soap roses were added to the pedicure water. The girls loved being treated to manicures and pedicures!

Thank you so much for sharing, Christa! Happy birthday to Jadelyn! : )
