Get ready to rock ‘n roll… on the beach! This rock star theme birthday party was styled by Leslie Bost of ONE Happenings Weddings & Events for her 2-year-old son, Juan Emilio. To decorate for the party, Leslie ordered my rock star printable decor kit, so all of the printables shown throughout the party came together in the same kit – and I love how Leslie used them! : ) The party was held on a gorgeous beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and guests were treated to a candy bar, two handmade piñatas, arts and crafts, and a life-size guitar shaped birthday cake. Enjoy!

Tables were set up under a pavilion by the beach. A printable banner and aqua and red balloons were hung from the ceiling.
Leslie placed simple jars of flowers all along the tables, each accented with a printable centerpiece circle.
There were two homemade guitar piñatas for the kids to enjoy.
The “craft services” table was filled with red and aqua candy, popcorn, and cupcakes.
The sweets table included Mexican candies called Mazapán (peanut candy), which Leslie decorated with printable cupcake toppers from the decor kit.
Small plastic boxes were filled with candies and labeled with more printable circles.
The party favors were set up at the “souvenir stand.”
Leslie set up child-size stools and easels so the kids could paint and draw on music-themed coloring pages.
The guitar-shaped birthday cake was just about life sized! Leslie says, “The cake was dairy and gluten free! My son is allergic, so Deena Fisher of Sweet Dreams Cakes made it especially for him.”
Leslie said the kids had the best time breaking the piñatas! The piñatas were made by Juan Emilio’s nanny. Leslie says, “She hand made them for him as a birthday present. Amazing right?”
Each child took home a handmade artistic Mexican play guitar, plus little muslin bags filled with homemade organic eucalyptus soap, crayons, and organic lollipops.
The favor tags come as part of the printable decor kit from Chickabug. The muslin favor bags are from Jennifer’s Cookies.
