I’m just blown away by this gorgeous rainbow theme birthday party! My sweet customer Bethany created the party for her 2-year-old daughter, Dylan Grace. Bethany says:

“We started working with Dylan on her colors shortly after she turned 1, and by 18 months she knew every color. Meanwhile, Mommy is obsessed with white. Obsessed. So, I brought all the colors of the rainbow together with lots of white. I love the classic and fresh look of white with the bright rainbow colors!”

Amazing rainbow theme birthday party!

The printable “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” poster is from Ta Love (they have since closed), and the rainbow tablecloth is actually a vintage twin bed sheet – a one-of-a-kind find from Bizarre Baubles.

Rainbow birthday party - dress by Tadpoles and Bubblegum

Birthday girl Dylan Grace is wearing a chevron rainbow dress from Tadpoles and Bubblegum. I love what Bethany has to say about her daughter: “The party represented everything Dylan has been to us since the day she was born. (She is the first and only grandchild, so you can imagine just how adored she is.) She has brought our families so much joy and so much life. Cliche, but there is no one color to best describe her: she is every single one of them. ;)”

Rainbow birthday cake

The pom-pom topper on the all-white birthday cake is homemade. I love the simplicity and elegance of this cake!

Time for games! This is a fabulous idea: spin art! The spin art machines on Amazon, and the printable sign is from Chickabug. Bethany says the spin art was a HUGE hit: “The spin art was way cool! I’d suggest having at least 2 spin art machines for parties with 15 kids or more. There was a constant line to use them, the kids loved them so much!”

Rainbow party activities - making tie dyed t-shirts and spin art! A fun rainbow party activity - making tie dyed t-shirts! The printable sign is from Chickabug.

Another great idea: making tie-dyed t-shirts! To keep the kids clean, art smocks and children’s size rubber gloves from Dick Blick Art Materials were provided. Bethany says, “I highly suggest the tie dye shirts activity! The shirts turned out amazing, with bright colors. I pre-soaked the shirts in soda ash the morning of the party, then had the shirts already wrapped with rubber bands and sealed in Ziploc baggies. All the kids had to do was apply the dye and then put their shirt back into bag. The bags were even pre-labeled with the children’s names, and had care instructions for the parents to follow at home.”
