Puppy adoption party featuring FREE printables

When I designed free printable dog adoption kits last year, this is exactly the sort of happy celebration I was hoping they’d be a part of! I’m smiling ear-to-ear thanks to Jennifer of Double the Fun Parties, who put together a little surprise party for her parents and their adorable new puppy, Mia.

Who could resist a face like this!! Mia is a 3-month-old adopted beagle, whom Jennifer says “is remarkably calm for a puppy. Except that she loves to lick your ears. Which tickles.”

Jennifer bought the cupcakes, dog biscuits and dog toys at Target. (She says, “In and out of Target in 15 minutes, baby!”) Being a party pro, she already had candy, treat bags, ribbons, and other partyware on hand.

The printable circles from the adoption kit make perfect cupcake toppers!

The certificate of adoption is ready to be signed by Mia’s new family. (Hooray!) : )

A few very pink toys for the guest of honor…

…and bags of treats, too! I had pictured these labels being used to give favors away, but Jennifer used them as gift-giving tags instead. (Such a good idea!)

The surprise party was a big hit! Of everything at the party, Jennifer says her mom liked the adoption certificate most of all. I do, too. : )
You can download your own free dog adoption kit here – and it’s available in your choice of pink or blue!
Thank you so much for sharing, Jennifer! Congratulations to your mom and dad, and to Mia too!
