Little Mermaid party: Sadie is 2!

Today I’m happy to share a colorful Little Mermaid theme party that was submitted by Lyttle of Love, The Sullivans. Lyttle used clip art that she found online to create the decor – all of which was homemade. The color scheme for the party was done in rainbow brights, including red, hot pink, lime green, yellow, sea green, aqua, and purple, which was a fun twist to the theme!

The party table was covered in netting, surrounded by clear balloon “bubbles.”

The front door wreath was made with a foam wreath and streamers.

The large Ariel by the birthday banner was one of the few storebought purchases – it’s a wall decal that was adhered to poster board and then cut out. The banner was made with kraft paper and card stock.

The “SADIE” letters were purchased from the craft store and covered with card stock. The party food included green sour belts that look like seaweed, and madeleine cookies that look like shells.

Some of the “Little Mermaid” inspired decor included treasure chests filled with cold coins and beads, a candelabra holding utensils, and a homemade felt Sebastian. Sadie is wearing a homemade party outfit made with felt and glittery fabric paint.

On the walls, streamer “seaweed,” fish, and bubbles add to the ambiance.

DIY chalkboard signs marked the food station and drink station.

The photo cut-out prop was painted by hand on a foam board. (Wow!)

The “who’s its & what’s its galore” sign was hung above Sadie’s birthday presents. The lanterns were from the dollar store.

The party favors were bags of tropical Skittles adorned with miniature forks.

Thanks so much for sharing, Lyttle! Happy birthday to Sadie! : )
