Earth Day is on April 22 – how will you be celebrating? : ) Everyone can make a huge difference by reusing and recycling, planting a tree, starting a compost pile, picking up trash, pledging to conserve water… we all know what we ought to do, I think, and Earth Day is a great day to get started on some new, good habits. It’s also a great day for parents to score some serious extra bonus points by actively passing eco-conscious values on to your kids! Here are some Earth Day ideas so you can get crafty with your children and have some (educational) fun:

1. Make a paper mache globe with Mommyapolis

2. Create a mosaic Earth from construction paper and recycled cardboard with Make and Takes (printable pattern available)

3. Make an Earth Day promise and seal it with a handprint, via The First Grade Parade

4. Bake up some Earth Day cupcakes with Under the Table and Dreaming

5. Sculpt a playdoh planet Earth (complete with inner core, outer core, mantle and crust!) with Meet the Dubiens

6. Create an Earth using coffee filters, and add construction paper hands with Preschool Crafts for Kids
