Here’s a sweet and easy idea for DIY party decor, courtesy of Joyful Scribblings: gumball monogram topiaries! Made of just a few simple materials, they come together in a snap, and the candy makes them perfect for a birthday party.

DIY gumball monogram topiary - so cute for a birthday party!

To make a topiary, you need:

– A white wood letter (available at craft stores such as Hobby Lobby)
– A dowel rod
– Ribbon
– A styrofoam cube
– Wrapping paper
– Hot glue gun

Instructions: Hot glue gumballs onto the wood letter. Make a bow and hot glue it in place on the letter. Wrap a length of ribbon around the dowel rod and glue the ends down to secure. Hot glue the dowel rod to the back of the letter. Wrapped a styrofoam cube with wrapping paper and stick the dowel rod into the cube.

Alternate idea: You could also put the finished letter and (unwrapped) styrofoam cube into a small flowerpot or a vase filled with candy!
