Today’s party is as sweet as can bee! (Sorry, I seriously couldn’t resist.) It’s the lovely work of crafty mama Jenny, who threw a brunch birthday bash for her son, Finley.

Is this not the greatest beehive cake?! I can’t even believe it, but Jenny is not a professional baker (although I have told her that she really ought to be). She says, “I baked the cake in a stainless steel bowl and layered it with another 6″ pan. Vanilla with lemon curd filling… yum!”

The adults’ table is set up with pretty pastel tablecloths, a mix of white and pastel dishes, and a simple centerpiece of cheerful sunflowers.

The kids’ table is ready with kid-sized stools from Ikea. The paper cups are decorated with insect-themed stickers from my shop.

Fresh juices and breakfast breads are displayed on the buffet, and you can see just a bit of Finley’s printable banner hanging on the wall.

Finley’s cupcakes are decorated with printable wrappers and toppers, and also sweet little sugar flowers and bumblebees (the same ones that are on Finley’s cake!).

The grown-ups at the party received “a spot of tea and a touch of honey” – honey sticks from David’s Tea and handmade teabags. Each favor is personalized with a favor tag.

Absolutely precious!! Thank you so much for sharing, Jenny! Happy birthday to Finley! : )
