I remember when I was little, my grandmother always made melon balls out of her…
Gummy bears… at the beach! Wouldn’t this be the most adorable summertime snack, or pool party treat?
The recipe is a great find via the Black Bear Conservation Coalition, whose “cub corner” features kid-friendly, bear-themed recipes. You probably already guessed that this is Jello, so you know it’s going to be quick ‘n easy to make! Here’s how:
Jello Instant Custard – vanilla flavor
Glasses or clear plastic cups
Prepare blue Jello according to package instructions. Pour liquid Jello into glasses and refrigerate until completely set. Prepare Instant Custard according to package instructions. Spoon some of the custard on top of one side of the Jello to create the sandy beach. Add a few bears, and insert an umbrella.
You could also add some Nilla Wafer or graham cracker crumbs to the top of the custard (before adding the decorations, of course) to give the beach an even “sandier” look!
