Lilly Pulitzer party: Harper Grace is 1!

I’m absolutely in love with this amazing first birthday party that my friend Susan threw for her daughter, Harper Grace. Susan has amazing style and loves all things feminine… and had two darling boys before having sweet Harper! So needless to say, she wanted to have a very special first birthday for her first daughter. Susan’s dream party for Harper Grace was a Lilly Pulitzer party – with pink elephants based on Lilly’s popular “Taboo” fabric in particular. I designed stickers, water bottle labels, and a variety of party printables that combined pink elephants with elements and colors inspired by Lilly Pulitzer. Every detail of Harper Grace’s party was stunning!

Susan says, “Lilly things are just so feminine and sweet and girly, plus I love the Florida/Palm Beach patterns like the cane and trellis, palm branches, etc. I also love Chickabug’s designs because they incorporate elephants without looking like nursery decor or a circus or zoo party. They really pulled together the feel of the party even better than how I imagined! I also really love the sort of understated preppy feel with the pink and green and the monograms on the candy wrappers and cake. I just loved every element!! It was such a beautiful party!”

The wood cut script monogram from For Pete’s Sake Pottery was painted white and covered with Lilly Pulitzer fabric. The triangle pennant banner was homemade from Lilly fabrics.

The printable buffet cards that labeled all of the candies on the dessert table are from Chickabug.

I just love this bowl full of personalized mini Hershey bars! The printable labels are from Chickabug and they include elephants and monograms.

The party poms, plates, napkins and tray were all purchased from Lilly Pulitzer.

Harper Grace’s adorable elephant dress is from Beaux et Belles.

The custom two-tier cake was made by Patricia Kalupa’s Custom Cakes & Cookies. The elephant figurine on top is a keepsake that was engraved with Harper Grace’s initials and the year. (Aw!)

A bucket of water bottles on ice is a must for every party! These featured personalized waterproof labels.

The children enjoyed the “make your own elephant” station (labeled with a printable sign). The elephants were made from cut-out handprints with details drawn on in marker, plus googly eyes, yarn tails, and bows.

Harper Grace’s smash cake was a miniature version of the birthday cake, complete with a monogram.

Guests treated themselves to the dessert bar and filled bags with candy to take home as favors. The stickers on the party bags are from Chickabug.

Such a sweet and amazing party – thank you so much for sharing, Susan! Happy first birthday to Harper Grace! : )
