This Halloween party was sent in by Jennifer from Pink Elephants and Lemonade. Jennifer says “We had just returned to The Netherlands and my daughter Julia was starting in a new school. She was apprehensive about meeting all of the new students and fitting in, and to be honest I was also worried about meeting all of the parents and making positive connections. I decided to invite all 25 classmates and siblings and parents to a Halloween party at our house.”
Jennifer said, “The food was the absolute highlight of this party. My girlfriend prepared the party food, cupcakes and cake and everything looked and tasted amazing!”
The Halloween cake was covered in fondant and featured ghosts, pumpkins, and a spooky house and gate.
Witches’ fingers cookies had creepy green-tinted almonds for fingernails. You can get the recipe here.
The snacks, cakes and cupcakes were made by Original Kitchen Rotterdam.
All of the Halloween buntings were handmade by Jennifer.
The spiders were made using pipe cleaners and styrofoam balls that were spray painted black.
Kids played a ghost beanbag toss game, where the winners earned candy bar prizes.
