Pumpkin fruit monster!

Oh my goodness. It’s a pumpkin fruit monster!! This little guy was inspired by the watermelon fruit monster that was a BIG highlight of one of my party features. Blogger Tinka O’Curry is the smart cookie who realized that swapping the watermelon for a pumpkin would make it Halloween-appropriate. She came up with the idea in a pinch when her Halloween cake project went wrong, and she still needed a little something sweet, pronto. That’s some good thinking under pressure!
The eyes are lime slices and the pupils are almonds, and of course you can tell the nose is a strawberry. : ) I think a pumpkin monster would be a great centerpiece for any Halloween party – it’s such a cute way to work in some healthy fruit in addition to all that candy!
