Today I’m excited to share a Fancy Nancy party that was styled by none other than Victoria of vixenMade! The book Fancy Nancy is about a little girl who loves all things fancy and posh, so of course the details had to be girlie and glam.
A huge DIY outdoor chalkboard was a focal point for the decor. You can learn how to make the chalkboard here.
The homemade ribbon garland included all the colors for the party: shades of purple, white, pink and orange.
All the girls got to play dress-up, wearing pearls, flower clips, hats, and feather boas.
Instead of a standard table, Victoria found a desk/hutch at a thrift store, painted and distressed it, and used it to display the food and drinks.
Victoria served cake pops, vanilla cupcakes, dreamsicle pudding parfaits, cookies, and strawberry cheesecake jelly beans.
The mini ribbon-trimmed cupcake stands are DIY!
The gorgeous ruffle cake is by Candy & Cake.
Even the plastic cups were a little extra fancy!
Each guest had their own place at the table, marked with a framed name card and a feather plume pen (to use for some of the party games). Later, the girls decorated their white hats. Victoria says, “Lots of fake and fabric flowers, fabrics, ribbons, feathers and rhinestones were used to make their hats their own.”
The kids had fun with free printable Fancy Nancy coloring and activity sheets.
Such a sweet party! Thanks for sharing, Victoria! For more from Keona’s Fancy Nancy party, visit vixenMade.
