How to make a ruffled streamer cake stand
Posted under party decor, pink cupcake, pretty in pink, sweet shoppe
I already have a serious thing for ruffled streamers like the ones used to make backdrops for Avery’s Sweet Shoppe party, Emma’s rainbow party, and Tressie’s little monsters party. Now ruffled streamers are on to a whole new level with this creative idea from Louise at Cake Journal: a ruffled DIY cake stand!

Seriously, how cute is this? And easy too. You only need a few supplies: round styrofoam cake dummies, craft paper, crepe paper, ribbon, and thread, plus around-the-house tools including glue, tape, and scissors.
The version shown here is the basic model: one tier, one color, and a simple ribbon tie. It’s beautiful just like this, but if you want something more elaborate but you could go to town. Make more than one tier… make each tier a different color… add all sorts of ribbons, buttons, bows… you could really get creative with this project!
