For 6-year-old Noah, a love of golf runs in the family! Mom Danielle says that Noah has been playing “grown-up” golf with his dad since he was just 2 years old. (Yes – a full 18 holes at 2 years old, with a proper golf swing!) So, of course a golf party was a perfect theme for Noah and his family. Danielle went all-out with decorations and details – golf balls, tees, pennants, balloons, visors, Astroturf… green and more green!
Noah’s favor table is decorated with a banner hung over a bright green backdrop. Favors are embellished with tags and printable circles. A copy of Noah’s invitation is on display (on the right-hand side) – very clever to mount it on a stick to turn it into a decoration!
The kitchen table is dressed to the nines with golf goodies! Each guest received a green visor that’s decorated with a custom sticker, a bottle of water with a green striped straw from Project Pretty Studio, and a golf ball cake pop is on each plate. Buffet cards mark where each guest should sit, and sheets of scrapbook paper serve as chargers. The table is covered in Astroturf, and the centerpieces are glass vases filled with balls, tees, and a banner (used in a very inventive way!). Bunches of lime green polka dot balloons from Polka Dot Market are the perfect finishing touch.
Treats included “holes in one” cake pops, green apple rings, and golf cupcakes with homemade flags.
While the kids had cake and ice cream, they played a “guess how many golf tees and golf balls are on the table” game. Danielle used buffet cards as game pieces for the kids to write down their answers.
Danielle got the absolute most out of her printable circles – they pop up everywhere throughout the party!
There were lots of games planned, such as golf ball relays (Danielle says, “we had the kids on teams and they had to carry a golf ball on a tee across a room and back. It was kind of hard to balance on the tee so we ended up switching to carrying the ball on a spoon!”)…
…mini golf course relays…
…indoor putting contests (“We originally had everything planned for outside and it was FREEZING so we had to improvise inside!”)…
…and a game of “pin the ball on the green.”
To keep track of the results, Danielle logged the game winners on the leaderboard.
At the end of the party, each guest took home gumball-filled water bottles that were decorated with tags and personalized with their names. The water bottles are a perfect size for kids! Danielle says, “I filled the green water bottles with white and green gumballs. The bottles came from Hobby Lobby – they carry them seasonally, with their summer novelty stuff.”
How cute is this bunch of little golfers! : )
Thank you so much for sharing, Danielle! Happy birthday to Noah!
