I collect books and cookbooks like crazy, and there are so many new titles coming out this spring that I’m excited about! What’s even better is that the authors are well-known bloggers – some of whom I’ve even been in touch with. I’m a big dorky fan right now, like “ooh! You’ve emailed me before, and now your name is on the cover of a hardcover book!” ; )

There are actually so many new books coming out that I started compiling a wishlist on Amazon, so I could not only buy the books but also blog about them, too. Then, Courtney Dial Whitmore of Pizzazzerie blogged about this spring’s new books, posting a nearly identical list. Eek! So, full disclosure: Pizzazzerie beat me to it! Hopefully more will be merrier, though, so here are my picks – one now-classic book plus eight fresh and fabulous new titles, all authored by  famous party gals and mega-popular food bloggers you know and love:

1. Sweet Designs: Bake It, Craft It, Style It by Amy Atlas of Amy Atlas Events. Amy is the reigning queen of party tables and high style, so this one’s destined to be a classic! To be released April 24, 2012

2. celebraTORI: Unleashing Your Inner Party Planner to Entertain Friends and Family by Tori Spelling. If you’ve seen Tori’s reality show, you’ve seen her behind-the-scenes while making this book – it’s going to be gorgeous. To be released April 3, 2012

3. Cake Pops by Bakerella (Angie Dudley). A book that started a revolution! I always wonder what Angie thinks when she goes to Starbucks and sees her idea in the display case. Amazing.

4. Push-up Pops by Courtney Dial Whitmore of Pizzazzerie. Push-up pops are the hot new trend and this book is sure to set the bar! To be released March 1, 2012

5. Sugarlicious by Meaghan Mountford of The Decorated Cookie and Craft Gossip. Cake pops, marshmallows, cookies, and all things sweet – although she totally had me at the pink flamingos on the cover!

6. Desserts in Jars by Shaina Olmanson of Food For My Family. Seriously, who doesn’t love a dessert in a jar? They’re just so charming and party-perfect. To be released June 12, 2012

7. The Cookie Dough Lover’s Cookbook by Lindsay Landis of Love and Olive Oil. Seriously? An entire book about cookie dough? SOLD. To be released June 5, 2012 (PS. Lindsay has actually been featured on my blog – she was kind enough to let me feature her golf cake last month!)

8. SprinkleBakes: Dessert Recipes to Inspire Your Inner Artist by Heather Baird of SprinkleBakes. Heather is known for her stunning food photography – I can’t wait to see this one! To be released May 1, 2012

9. Joy the Baker Cookbook: 100 Simple and Comforting Recipes by Joy Wilson of Joy the Baker. Amazing desserts of all sorts, and the cover of the book sums everything up beautifully: “a celebration of butter and sugar.” To be released February 28, 2012
