Chalkboard rainbow party: Stavros is 4!

I’m really excited about today’s featured party – it’s a new and exciting party theme (new to my blog, and new in the shop) – all thanks to my friend Brenda, who dreamed it up for her son Stavros’ 4th birthday! She took my rainbow theme and put a chalkboard twist on it. One of my favorite details is the line Brenda added to the birthday invitation: “Chalk it up ...

M&M cookie brittle

This is pure genius: a dessert with the taste of a cookie but the crunch of a brittle. And M&M’s! M&M cookie brittle is thin, crispy, and studded with mini M&M’s candies. And with the colorful candies and chevron treat bags, it already looks like it’s ready to party. : ) You could serve the cookie brittle in bags just like this on your sweets table, or give it out ...

Cookies in a jar are great favors for birthday parties and they make wonderful gifts, too! Ever since Bakerella came out with her cowgirl cookies, that’s been my customers’ recipe of choice for their party favors, and awhile back I made some free printable cookie mix circles in John Deere colors (green and yellow). By popular demand – and because cowgirl cookies are just plain amazing ; ) – I’ve made ...

Big top birthday party: Hudson is 1!

Today I’m featuring a big top birthday party for 1-year-old Hudson! Hudson’s mom Lindsay went with my rainbow theme, then added a twist with circus-inspired food, a clown to entertain the kids, and a really cool circus train bounce house. The vintage-style plastic popcorn boxes were a good find from Target’s dollar spot. The clown noses were from Oriental Trading, and the plain striped paper boxes are from Party Delights. All of the candy is ...

Rainbow party: Lauren is 4!

Today’s featured party is from my sweet customer Christiane, who threw a rainbow birthday party for her daughter, Lauren. She used the rainbow printable kit and made a beautiful rainbow cake, cookies, and even hired a clown to come entertain! The photos were taken by Shabana B Photography. Using a watermelon half as a base for fruit skewers is a great idea! Underneath the “Happy Birthday” banner, Christiane added a second ...

I’m just blown away by this gorgeous rainbow theme birthday party! My sweet customer Bethany created the party for her 2-year-old daughter, Dylan Grace. Bethany says: “We started working with Dylan on her colors shortly after she turned 1, and by 18 months she knew every color. Meanwhile, Mommy is obsessed with white. Obsessed. So, I brought all the colors of the rainbow together with lots of white. I love ...

How to make crayon utensil holders

These crayon utensil holders are such a great idea for an art party, rainbow party, back-to-school, or just to make your kids’ craft area cute! They’re made using empty soup cans (upcycle alert!) and a large box of crayons. You could put utensils in them, as shown, or you could put in flowers to make a cute centerpiece. Filled with sugar, they’d make a great way to display lollipops or ...
