This construction theme birthday party for 2-year-old Grey is just absolutely precious! Grey’s mom Amy used a yellow dump truck as inspiration for the theme, then added lots of adorable truck- and traffic-based details to make the party special.

Grey’s yellow dump truck “delivered” Reese’s peanut butter cups!

Construction Party Birthday Cake

Amy made the cake herself! The top tier is a tire, the street signs and rocks are made out of gum paste, and the numbers and arrows were drawn on the signs using an edible marker.

The road table runner was homemade using black and white fabric. To save time, the street lines were ironed on using adhesive tape.

Construction Party Food - Spare Tires

Chocolate frosted mini donuts were labeled as “spare tires.”

Amy also made adorable little orange slice race cars, using red grapes for the wheels.

Amy says, “One of my favorite parts of the party was our gas station drink. I printed a fuel label from the internet and stuck it to our ‘gas pump.'”
