Tractor party: Max is 3!

This John Deere 3rd birthday party is so creative and fun! It was submitted by my lovely customer Kysa and photographed by Rebecca Cote Photography.

Mom Kysa says, “Max loves tractors and trucks, and as soon as I saw the Chickabug John Deere inspired printables and cookie jar favors I knew we had to have a tractor party for his 3rd birthday. I hunted high and low for John Deere items, bought some burlap for the table covers, and collected a whole lot of green and yellow. The tractor piñata and the loose balloons were a big hit with the kids. It was a great party!”

I adore this tractor ribbon (found at Joann’s)! It’s the perfect touch for a basket of green utensils.

Max and his sister Reagan are dolled out head-to-toe in John Deere! (Well, except for those super-cute ladybug boots.) : ) Reagan’s skirt is from Denim Street Fashion. Max’s John Deere boots came straight from John Deere.

John Deere party straws - printables from Chickabug

This is a perfect way to display paper straws! (Note the gumballs in the bottom of the jar!) The yellow and green striped paper straws are from Sweets & Treats Boutique. The printable circles and printable straw flags are from Chickabug.

The fabulous drink dispenser and galvanized stand came from Pottery Barn, and Kysa says “The milk bottles came from Fresh Market, who sells local dairy products from Contoocook Creamery. The chocolate milk is so yummy!”

The cupcake stand is from The Cupcake Tower (it’s trimmed in ribbon from Joann’s) and the printable cupcake wrappers and toppers are from Chickabug.

A John Deere tractor "towing" berry baskets - SUCH a cute idea!! (baskets are from Garnish)

A toy tractor “towing” berry baskets is the cutest idea ever! The berry baskets are from Garnish.

Jelly beans, M&M’s, Twizzlers, and Lemonhead and Applehead candies are all in John Deere green and yellow, of course! Kysa says, “I wasn’t a big fan of the green Twizzlers, but the kids really loved them!”

The kids loved playing with the free-floating balloons!

The cupcakes were made from a boxed mix, and Kyla topped them with homemade frosting. The recipe she used is “almost buttercream frosting” from the book Hello Cupcake.

Did you make the cupcakes? I would love to get your frosting recipe and to know what tip was used to frost them. Also, what's the recipe for what's already in the cookie jars? Awesome party- and photos!
    Thanks!

Hi Rebecca! I'm not sure where Max's mom, Kysa, found that pinata. I've seen many other tractor pinata's online but I don't have a link for that specific one. Sorry! : )
