For her little one’s birthday, crafty mama Kristy threw an adorable mermaid and pirate party with a color scheme of black, white, and hot pink. Almost everything was made by hand, and personalized stickers pop up in almost every project, so three-year-old Ainslee’s party features lots of sweet touches!
Blue paper streamers and green ruffled streamers serve as a sea-worthy backdrop behind the sweets table.
Ainslee’s banner was homemade using large mermaid stickers, a variety of colored and patterned papers, twine, and tulle.
The food table featured Pirate’s Booty, submarine sandwiches, peanut butter and jellyfish sandwiches, and seaweed and coral (veggies).
The peanut butter and jellyfish sandwiches were packaged individually in paper bags, with a personalized sticker sealing each one shut. Stickers were also used to make the food labels.
The “Sail the 7 Seas Jello” is so cute! It’s blue Jello topped with whipped cream and a candy boat with a little sail. (Check out this recipe but use a gummy fruit slice instead of fresh fruit.)
The goldfish bar (with a homemade sign) says, “Take a box and make a mix. Sea creatures are the perfect hunger fix!” There are three goldfish bowls filled with three types of Goldfish Crackers, so guests can choose whichever flavors they like best.
Kristy made treat boxes using white French fry boxes (like these from Think Garnish), filling them with pirate and mermaid theme trinkets.
What a sweet little mermaid Ainslee is! Thank you so much for sharing, Kristy! : )
