Under the Sea party: Sam is 2!

Today’s party is an under the sea shindig for 2-year-old birthday boy Sam. Sam’s mom, Rachel, created the party with a color scheme of orange and aqua, using lots of special handmade party goodies – including the most fabulous under the sea cake ever!

Here’s cutie pie Sam! He’s wearing a custom birthday shirt by Heather Godwin of MDB Creations.

A birthday banner by Sophie and Emma hangs over the buffet table.

Sam’s amazing cake was made by Kate Petronis of And Everything Sweet. Kate has been featured on Paula Deen – you can see why!

I love the little touch of the starfish on top of the napkins.

How adorable are these mini fish cookies!! They’re from Cookie Mamas on Etsy.

Goldfish crackers are extra-cute in an orange pail, with a little blue shovel for scooping. On the bucket, a personalized printable circle was used to make the hanging tag.

Also on the menu – deep sea pasta and octo-dogs…

…and of course, peanut butter and jellyfishes!

The wooden clothespins are a sweet touch!

Sam’s favor buckets are labeled with tags made using personalized printable circles. They’re filled with candy, toys and oversized sunglasses.

Everybody got in on the fun with the big sunglasses. : )

Thank you so much, Rachel! Happy birthday Sam!

I really enjoyed your post and used it as inspiration for my daughter's first birthday beach party. I wrote about it and linked back to you as I directly used your "Fish and Chips" idea. Too cute. You can see it here: http://lilouwyn.blogspot.com/2012/11/first-birthday-beach-party.html

Hi Mehnaz! I'm not sure what recipe Rachel used for her "deep sea pasta". Sorry! : )
